Months School Program are Available.

​Cost of the program - ​ $10.00 for students and adult chaperones. Up to 5 adult chaperones are allowed. Teachers are free of charge. 

Reservations-
An invoice will be sent via Square after obtaining an accurate headcount and email address. Once payment has been received, your date will be reserved. *Please Note* We cannot hold a date, if waiting on funding, as we have a lot of program requests and inquiries. Payment is accepted via Square by using a debit or credit card. (No Cash or Checks accepted.) Service fees will be applied.  
Each school program allows up to 45 students. We can accommodate up to 100 students by dividing the program. Details can be described via email, if interested.  
The length of the program is 2 hours and 15 min. 

The description of the program:
The first hour and fifteen minutes will be spent in the classroom experiencing how class was taught in the 1880s. The last 45 minutes, students will be allowed to view some of the historic buildings. Teachers will be given a brochure that contains a map and short description of each building. Two of the larger buildings will be open, allowing the students to walk through. A guided tour of these two buildings will be given. All other buildings will be open for viewing only. We do not provide lunch, however students are welcome to bring a sack lunch. Lunch will be allowed post program, as the buildings will need to be closed by the end of the program.  


The seven historic buildings, for viewing, are as follows:
1. Thornton Mansion- guided tour
2. Doctors Cabin- view in only
3. Schoolhouse
4. Arnold House
- view in only
5. Church- view in only
6. City Hall / Jail- view in only

​7. Shields Mercantile- guided tour

Free parking is available near the entrance to the park. 
Walking pathways are gravel, comfortable shoes are advised.
